From 2nd November 2020 onwards Scania will increase the Sustainability Rating focus in sourcing decisions

One of Scania’s key success factors is to continuously challenge and improve the company’s
performance and thereby conduct a responsible business, adapting to new industry
developments.

We strive to ensure that our business is sustainable in all aspects and that we comply with the highest social, ethical and environmental standards at every stage. As a supplier you play an important role as we are committed to not only upholding the highest standards in our own operation but throughout the whole supply chain.

From 2nd November 2020 onwards, Scania will increase the Sustainability Rating (S-Rating) scope and will require a positive S-rating on more suppliers in the internal decision forums. This will be done by implementing S-Rating on lower sourcing values than before. This step will help Scania to conduct a more responsible business and bring us closer in taking the leadership in creating the shift towards a more sustainable transport system.

How can you prepare and improve the result for the S-Rating?
One of the main inputs to the S-Rating is the result from the Sustainability Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). Suppliers shall complete the SAQ on the external platform supplierassurance.com and share it with Scania and Volkswagen.

For more information on the S-Rating or the SAQ please look into the FAQ documents located on the Sustainability page on Scania supplier portal.
