EXPORT CONTROL

Export control is legislation that regulates the export of hardware, software and technology. It is implemented to prevent the spread of and the technology of weapons for mass destruction. Additionally, it is used to prevent the export of strategic products and weapons to areas that are politically unstable. Besides military products, export control also concerns dual-use products and US-based items and technology. From a company perspective, it is important to have knowledge about the items, which includes hardware, software and technology, to not violate the export control regulations.

Being compliant with export control is a high priority for Scania. We strictly conduct our business in accordance with applicable trade laws and regulations. We expect that the supplier takes their responsibility to get information about export control from the national government department dealing with Export control or another internal or external source.
