Here you find instructions on the steps to get a positives S-Rating depending on the size of your productions site.

Locations with 9 employees or less

If a company site has 9 employees or fewer, they can apply for an exception from the S-Rating.

The following steps are then necessary:

1. Fill out the template to the right to confirm the number of employees at the site – Microenterprise Guideline

2. Send the confirmation including your DUNS number to supplier.sustainability@scania.com

3. If you already completed an SAQ, please make sure that the number of employees is the same as in step 1.

4. The exception from the S-Rating will be confirmed if the information matches the headcount indicated in the Supplier Data Base (LDB). Data concerning employee numbers are transferred from DUN & Bradstreet to the Supplier Data Base (LDB). To update your headcount information at D&B, please contact them via https://www.dnb.com/duns-number.html

Locations with 10-99 employees

A positive S-Rating for company sites with 10-99 employees can be reached by following these steps:

1. Complete the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) on the Supplier Assurance Platform and share it with the invitation code.

2. Make sure that the minimum requirements are fulfilled.

3. If one policy (or several) does not exist, please create a document. You can find further information to the right – Basics of Management System, Basics of Sustainability Policies

4. If all minimum requirements are fulfilled, you will reach a positive S-Rating for your location*

5. If the minimum requirements are fulfilled and you have reached a score of 80% or higher in the SAQ, you will reach an A in the S-Rating.*

* If an On-Site Check (OSC) has been conducted, the result will be included in the S-Rating. and, if defined, measures need to be taken before a positive S-Rating can be reached.

Locations with 100 employees or more

For locations with 100 and more employees a positive S-Rating can be reached by following these steps:

4. If you comply with all minimum requirements and obtain an SAQ score of 80% or more, you reach an A in the S-Rating*.

5. If you reach an SAQ score of less than 80%, the S-Rating depends on further factors. First, make sure you have met the minimum requirements (see steps 2-3). Following that, work for example on the questions concerning management systems to improve your score. If your SAQ score remains low, an on-site check may be necessary.

6. In addition, locations with their production sites should be aware that they need to prove a certified environmental management system (Question 11 in SAQ).
