Update regarding the 16th package of sanctions from EU
Dear Supplier,
With the Russian invasion of Ukraine still ongoing and all the great suffering that it entails, we further want to emphasize the importance of knowing your supply chains in this constantly changing geopolitical landscape that we find ourselves in.
The European Commission is continuously adopting sanctions against Russia. Several sanctions targeting different sectors were published during the last couple of years, and they are still valid. So far this year, the 16th sanction package was published in February 2025, targeting an import ban on primary aluminum, additional export restrictions, and a focus on circumvention of sanctions.
We ask you as a Scania Supplier to comply with all the applicable export control legislations and/or sanctions/embargoes regulations and contractual obligations, as well as without any delay, inform Scania of any changes that may have any impact on; the export, re-export, or use of goods and/or end products in which the goods are included or disturbances in the supply chain.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we expect you to contact your purchasing contact if you see any risks in your ability to deliver as per our demands.
Kind regards,
Scania Purchasing
